The thought casually slipped into her head.
It beckoned her, pleaded her agreement.
You won’t regret it, it swooned,
Nothing bad will happen.
The idea slowly came to control
Swallowing her rationality
Dominating her thoughts
It bellowed, luring her with a promise
Of fun and popularity,
Assuring her safety.
She put up a weak defense.
The monster of her mind
Positioned itself armed at the barricade.
Why not? it crooned.
Why? her victory.
